A Writer
I've loved to write since I first penciled words on green-lined penmanship paper in second grade. My talent for it has driven my career in publishing and corporate communications and earned me several accolades for fiction over the years, most recently second place in the Elizabeth Simpson Smith Short Story Contest. My work has appeared in the Scarlet Leaf Review, On the Premises, and Currents.
I have published a novel and short story anthology (see My Books for details). I'm putting the finishing touches on my second novel.
I write because I can't help it.
A Mixed Media Artist
A 2023 collage class launched my interest in mixed media. Countless classes, workshops, and instructional videos later, collage and mixed media have become my regular and beloved practice.
I'm a lifelong creative, becoming an accomplished seamstress before I reached legal drinking age.
Then my career in publishing and communications brought training and practice in graphic design and photography.
I participated heavily in the scrapbooking craze and became a photography enthusiast for years.
But now the limitless possibilities with mixed media have me hooked.
I create because I can't help it.
